Communication Studies department welcomes five new professors!

The Communication Studies Department is pleased to announce the arrival of five new full-time faculty members!

DR. DALE HERBECK comes to us from Boston College, and will become the new chair of the Communication Studies Department. He is teaching Introduction to Communication Studies this fall, and will begin teaching courses in his area of expertise- free speech and communication law- in future semesters.

DR. BROOKE FOUCAULT WELLES comes to us after finishing her doctoral degree from Northwestern University. She will be teaching Research Methods this fall.

DR. CAROLE BELL and DR. SARAH JACKSON have been converted from postdoctoral teaching fellows to assistant professors.

DR. JESICA SPEED joins us as a postdoctoral teaching associate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jesica will be teaching Introduction to Communication Studies and Interpersonal Communication this fall.

In addition, the department is also pleased to welcome the following part-time faculty members: ADAM CHAPMAN (audio production) and DR. CHARLES MORRIS (public speaking).
