Blueprints for Health Series Fall 2021: Sustainable Infrastructure in Global Communities

Sustainable Infrastructure in Global Communities
Gerard Georges (Build Health International) and Associate Teaching Professor Killion Mokwete, RIBA (Northeastern University & Adaptiv)

This lecture and discussion will highlight the complexity of challenges and necessary community engagement processes when designing in global communities needing better infrastructure for health, sustainability and resilience. A conversation between two long-time collaborators, Northeastern University Associate Teaching Professor Killion Mokwete, RIBA and the Head of Architecture at Build Health International, Gerard Georges, will feature their work, which brings a common-sense approach to infrastructure that allows for delivery of high-quality care, that can also be operated and maintained in a resource-constrained setting.
