Double Edge is an artist-run organization that creates original theatrical performances that are imaginative, imagistic, and visceral, including indoor and outdoor traveling spectacles developed alongside visual and music artists. It was originally founded in Boston in 1982 by Stacy Klein as a feminist ensemble and laboratory of actors’ creative practice: today, the ensemble is based on a farm in the rural town of Ashfield, Massachusetts and is deeply invested in questions of living culture and art justice.
Ensemble members will present their innovative work at the intersection of the visual and performing arts, and share their ethical commitments to art justice, critical creativity, and the human imagination in a time of social, political, and environmental uncertainty.
