We are excited to be collaborating with the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s current exhibition Listen Hear: The Art of Sound. In 2015 the Center for the Arts hosted an artist residency with O & A (Bruce Odland and Sam Anger) and Northeastern is a partner in the production of Harmonic Conduit, an interactive sound sculpture for the Ruggles MBTA station, located on the Northeastern campus.
To experience Boston’s newest public art you’ll need to use your ears instead of your eyes. This panel discussion will feature the artists behind two site-specific sound installations commissioned by the ISGM for the Listen Hear: The Art of Sound exhibition.
Moderated by Meghna Chakrabarti, host of WBUR’s Radio Boston, panelists will include:
- Bree Edwards, Director, Center for the Arts, Northeastern University
- Bruce Odland, artist
- Teri Rueb, artist
- Charles Waldheim, Ruettgers Curator of Landscape, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Lectures include Museum admission and require a ticket; tickets can be reserved online, in person at the door, or by phone: 617 278 5156. Museum admission: adults $15; seniors $12; students $5; free for Gardner Museum and WBUR members. For WBUR Members please contact Box Office to Reserve tickets.
