Hope Ricciardi, a member of the SoWa Artists Guild and well known mixed media artist, will speak on her work and life as an artist. Her work has had a wide range of subjects but one of her most famous works is her exhibition “A History Ignored”, focusing on her Armenian heritage. “A History Ignored” was featured at several colleges as well as the Massachusetts State House. Ricciardi will also speak about her arts activism for the organization Violence Transformed and students will have the chance to ask Ricciardi questions during intermittent Q&A sessions.
This event is hosted by spark, a student-run venture dedicated to spreading art to the Northeastern University community.
