Student Performance of Body Maps – Directed by Tim Miller

In Body Maps, Northeastern students perform a fearless, original, student-created performance that weaves together autobiography and artistry to reveal compelling public truths about personal identity. This performance will be developed through a week-long residency with Internationally acclaimed performance artist and activist Tim Miller, artist in residence with the Northeastern Center for the Arts and Theatre Department. See More about the residency here.

Miller says, “My goal is to share a variety of strategies to create original performances from the tremendous energies and stories that are present in our lives. Using our own memories and myths as a jumping off point, we will see where a deep sense of personal history creates performance that jumps out from our bodies onto the stage or the page.”

Tim Miller’s residency at Northeastern is supported in part by the Bossak-Heilbron Charitable Foundation and a Do It Grant from the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.
