Over the last decade, Greater Boston has become a hub of innovation in housing design and fabrication, as well as in the enabling policy environment to support and sustain that innovation. That work has coalesced around the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), which received a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to develop and implement the Greater Boston Regional Offsite Construction Strategy. An MAPC representative will be joined by two other key innovators shaping this ecosystem: Paige Roosa, Director of the Mayor’s Housing Innovation Lab, City of Boston, and Vikas Enti, CEO of Reframe Systems, a “vertically integrated design-build partner for developers.” Professor Ivan Rupnik, PhD, founding partner of MOD X, a research-based advisory group focused on accelerating innovative housing delivery methods, will introduce the topic and moderate the panel discussion.
