Art + Design

John Kane teaches beginning/intermediate design and typography courses. He is the author of A Type Primer (Prentice Hall, August 2002). From 1979-1995, he was the Vice President, Sr. Designer at Sametz Blackstone Associates, Boston. Mr. Kane has received awards from the American Institute of Architects, American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Society of Typographic Arts, New England Bookbuilders, and the Boston Art Directors Club among others. His work has been published in Graphis and AIGA annuals, Print, Communication Arts, and How.
