Lynn Burke is the Senior Co-op Coordinator for the School of Architecture. She received her B.A. in English and her M.Ed in Education Research Policy Administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Lynn has worked in Career Services at various institutions such as University of Massachusetts Amherst, Hampshire College and Wentworth Institute of Technology before coming to Northeastern University in 2000. She works with undergraduate and graduate students in architecture, landscape architecture and architectural studies to help counsel, place and educate students on cooperative education. Lynn teaches a one-credit Professional Development course.
Lynn serves as the AXP coordinator for Northeastern University and is the primary information resource regarding AXP in the architecture program. Lynn was presented with the Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM) award in 2007 for outstanding co-op coordinator of the year.
Lynn is also an active member of the Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA) and the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience (NEACEFE). She has presented workshops every year at the local and national level on career related topics.
Lynn understands the way social networking is changing the recruiting landscape, and therefore gets her message out to students, alumni and faculty in a number of ways. She maintains a Facebook Co-op Page, and tweets under @NUArchjobs. Lynn is also very actively involved with the School of Architecture alumni relations and helps to maintain the alumni database, plan networking events and assist with full time job placement.
