Rachel Villari is an artist and educator. She has taught a wide variety of traditional studio, computer-based design, animation, film, photography and art history courses at Rhode Island School of Design|CE and Johnson & Wales University. Her abstract paintings have shown domestically and internationally, most recently in London, Italy, Spain and France. Rachel is a featured artist in Curatorial Volume 1: Leaders in Contemporary Art, a book that documents the creative practices of artists working in various disciplines from around the world. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Expressive Arts & Psychology from SUNY Empire State College, and a Master of Arts in Art Education from Boston University. Rachel is currently a Ph.D. candidate, studying Humanities with focus on early modern, abstract artist, Hilma af Klint at Salve Regina University.
