Prof. Schroeder quoted in the Washington Post

Professor Alan Schroeder was quoted in The Washington Post, January 16, in an article about President Obama’s use of children at his news conference to reveal his proposals on gun violence.  He said that children have been used in the past for photo ops but not in a political way.  He said in this case children were used as “a reflection, really, of the larger issue…there was a political component to the children’s presence on the stage with the president…” The article, “Gun control issues sets off fresh debate over role of children in politics,” was written by Felicia Sonmez. Schroeder is an expert on presidential debates and political television tactics.  Read the story.>>
