Northeastern business student team’s project helps save local cafe

The Il Panino Cafe and Grill in Jamaica Plain was saved from failure with the help of a team of Northeastern University business students.  The owner, Themistocles “Lakis” Vlahoulis, credits students Michael Berkhofer, Daniel Lee and a team of students who took on the cafe for a class project; with saving his business.  The class, Small Business Management and Growth, is taught by Prof. Kimberly Eddleston. Journalism student Aida Velazquez-Santiago told how the students helped turn the restaurant into a success in her October 15 article,”Northeastern University students help Jamaica Plain restaurant,” in the Jamaica Plain edition of Your Town. Velazquez-Santiago wrote the article as part of Lisa Chedekel’s class, “Writing for Your Town.”
