Fields Corner residents voice concerns about neighborhood safety

More than 200 Fields Corner residents attended a community meeting, Sept. 30, to voice concerns about neighborhood problems including prostitution, lack of response to 911 calls, drug abuse, abandoned property and other issues that have plagued this Dorchester neighborhood.  The meeting was organized by Barry a resident and community organizer. The audience heard from Boston police Cpt. Richard Sexton, City Councilor Frank Baker and State Sen. Linda Dorcena Forry. In “Fields Corner residents banding together to improve safety,”  Your Town Dorchester, Oct. 22, journalism student Jordan Frais reported that the key messages were that residents need to communicate, get involved and vote.
