FOX News Investigative Reporter Mike Beaudet joins journalism faculty

Learning from experienced journalists  is a key ingredient in journalism education at the School of Journalism. This semester, WFTX-TV FOX25 Investigative Reporter Mike Beaudet, a 20-year veteran of television news, joins the faculty of the School of Journalism as a professor of practice. He will teach Interpreting the Day’s News and Video News Production 1.

“We’re really excited that our students will have an opportunity learn from Mike Beaudet,” said Associate Professor Dan Kennedy, interim director of the School of Journalism. “Mike is an award-winning television journalist and a top-notch investigative reporter. He fits perfectly with our traditional commitment to bring experienced journalists into the classroom.”

While at FOX, Beaudet focused on stories about government waste and corruption. he has won numerous awards, including 15 New England Emmy Awards. Beaudet is a Northeastern University alumnus. He earned his master’s degree from the School of Journalism in 2008.

Before joining FOX25 Boston in 1996, he worked in radio and television stations in Bangor, Main and Manchester, New Hampshire.

While teaching at Northeastern, he will continue his relationship with FOX.
