COVID Protocols

Studio Access & Hours

Time in each studio and lab must be reserved on this website, under the specific studio/lab needed: https://camd.northeastern.edu/media-spaces/labs/

Please note that due to COVID-19 social distancing measures, studios and labs will only be available on a reservation basis (this does not include scheduled classes in the labs).  In many cases, studio and lab hours have been reduced.  Please refer to the studio or lab page you are interested in for specific hours.

The Media Studio spaces will be staffed on a limited basis, though computer classrooms (Ryder 301,303,324, and Holmes 206 (the “Communication Studies Lab”)) will not be staffed regularly, however, will be available on a reservation basis.

Studio Social Distancing, Cleaning, & Safety Measures

In each of our spaces, we have determined safe social distancing by measuring out 6′ personal space bubbles around each workstation.  Where needed, these spaces are marked out with tape on the floor. When working collaboratively in the studio spaces, students must abide by social distancing guidelines and remain at least six feet apart, or collaborate online/virtually.

Cleaning supplies will be provided in the Media Studios, and students are expected to clean their own work area before and after use.  More information on cleaning protocols can be found here

Students should contact the appropriate Lab Manager (contact info here) if anyone in the spaces is not complying with COVID regulations, and can notify campus police if the manager is unavailable at that time.

In Person Assistance and Remote Assistance

Media Studio Managers will be available for in-person assistance (on a limited basis) and online assistance, and appointments can be booked with them here: https://camd.northeastern.edu/media-spaces/labs/  These lab hours can be for anything from project assistance, to general questions, to troubleshooting.
