The Makerspace advances material exploration and innovation, supported by CAD, CAM, and digital and analog fabrication tools, building a strong foundation of knowledge in the tools, methods, and parameters of fabrication. This space, together with our other New Technologies Labs, is an incubator for innovation and collaboration with other colleges at Northeastern. Our resources support automated 2D cutting and 2.5D machining, 3D scanning and printing, vacuum-forming, molding and casting, and composites fabrication.

Applications include development of physical prototypes and products, functional and representational.
