On Thursday, October 29th, Mike Roylance, principal Tuba with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, met with members of the Northeastern Concert Band and Wind Ensemble in preparation for their upcoming combined concert.

Mike rehearsed with both ensembles, and also spoke with the combined groups about his musical journey from choosing the tuba in 4th grade, to working at Disney World for 12 years, to winning his seat in the BSO. He also worked individually with sophomore Rachel Saywitz, and freshmen Tyler McDonald and Cameron O’Neil helping them improve their technique and musicianship.

The combined Concert Band and Wind Ensemble concert featuring Mike Roylance will take place on Sunday, 11/22 at 4:00pm in the Fenway Center.
