In 2012, the Supreme Court declared that life without parole for juveniles is unconstitutional. Louis Costa was 16 when he murdered two people. Thirty years later, he appeared before the parole board, asking to be set free. Dina Kraft, associate program coordinator for Media Innovation, writes about the hearing in “Man convicted as a teen in double homicide pleads for parole.” The story appeared in The Boston Globe, February 25.
