When the House speaker’s office refused to provide Mike Beaudet’s Investigative Reporting students with detailed records about the House’s credit card spending because the legislature is exempt from the public records law, the students went to Beacon Hill to ask the public what they think lawmakers are buying on the House credit card. The reports aired on WCVB-TV news on February 10 and 11.
