Congratulations to Professor John Wihbey who earned a second place award for best faculty paper in the Newspaper and Online News Division at the annual Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, held in Minneapolis in early August. The paper, “Journalists’ Use of Knowledge in an Online World: Examining Reporting Habits, Sourcing, and Institutional Norms,” was based on data from an online survey that he conducted with more than 1,000 media members.
