Journalism

“Tyler has the DNA of a journalist—a fearless curiosity and a willingness to investigate and write about tough issues,” Jonathan Kaufman, director of the School of Journalism, said of Tyler Blint-Welsh, ’19, who just became Northeastern’s second New York Time’s James Reston Fellow in two years. Already, Tyler has written for the Bangor Daily News, the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times, often reporting upon issues surrounding race, justice, and equality. He looks forward to covering New York City’s homeless crisis for the Times’ metro desk this summer.
