Prof. Dennis H. Miller’s new mixed-media work, variations (in black and white), will be premiered on a Visual Music series in Melbourne, Australia early next month. The work can be seen online at https://vimeo.com/album/3136197/video/140108599

As indicated by its name, this is the first work in Miller’s entire output that is entirely in black and white. He created the work by hand-drawing the primary source material then using a variety of image-processing techniques to create the subsequent variations. The music was composed following the completion of the imagery.
