Congratulations to Professor Chuck Fountain on his new book’s award nomination. The Betrayal, The 1919 World Series and the Birth of Modern Baseball, is one of 10 finalists for Spitball Magazine’s CASEY Award. According to the magazine’s website, the yearly award honors authors and publishers of the best baseball books. Spitball Magazine is a literary magazine dedicated to baseball. The winner will be announced at the magazine’s 33 Annual CASEY Award’s Banquet. The date of the banquet will be announced.
