Professor Dennis H. Miller was the second prize winner in the annual Fresh Minds festival held recently at Texas A&M University. The festival has a unique judging system in which over 600 students in various media arts programs viewed 120 entries from around the world, and chose the three finalists and the other works screened during the festival. Miller’s work point.line.plane: 3 Studies after Kandinsky was chosen as one of the finalists. Miller attended the festival, where two of his other works were also presented.

Miller’s work was also chosen for inclusion in the recent Red Bull Art of the Can festival, an international event that featured 2D and 3D video as well as sculpture and printed artwork inspired by the Red Bull can. The works were on display at Philadelphia’s City Hall plaza during the first week of October. Miller had five short videos included in the festival.
