Christoper Li and Felipe Tejeda are both fifth year architecture majors. They recently participated in the RISE: 2015 Research, Innovation and Scholarship Expo at Northeastern University where they presented their project, “A Bridge to the Future: Reimagining the 21st Century.” Below, they describe their project, favorite class at Northeastern, and what they are looking forward to in the future.

How would you explain your project to a 5th grader?

We’ve designed a new way for cities to grow in the future for when sea level rises.

What are the next steps for your research?

The project is a work in progress but we hope to submit the project to a number of other competitions.

What has been your favorite class at Northeastern so far?

Both of our favorite class has been our third year design studio, “Urbanism Studio.”

What are you looking forward to most in the coming years?

Chris: Traveling to Asia this summer and then moving to Paris for a year or two to pursue a career in culinary arts before graduate school for architecture.
Felipe: Joining the workforce and beginning to design built works.
