The Clinton-Trump presidential campaign it a popular topic abroad. In mid-September Professor Alan Schroeder spent several days lecturing and meeting with journalists and thought leaders in Dublin, Ireland, and Belfast, Northern Ireland, at the invitation of the U.S. Department of State. Schroeder spoke about the Clinton-Trump presidential debates and how the current presidential campaign is being covered by the American news media. Among his appearances, Schroeder delivered lectures at the U.S. Embassy in Dublin, the U.S. Consulate in Belfast, and the Northern Ireland Parliament in Belfast. He also took part in interviews with RTE (Irish Radio and Television) and the BBC.
