Musical Theatre, Minor

Uniting acting, singing, and dance, the musical theatre minor provides foundational skills in musical theatre performance and the exploration of the culture and evolution of the musical form.

A minor in musical theatre gives students a practical foundation in all aspects of the theatre including performance, music, design, and the history of the theatre. The minor offers students flexible choices among several theatre and music courses.  In addition to the four required courses, students may choose to participate in Department of Theatre musical productions and apply their classroom learning to the production experience; or have private vocal instruction in the Department of Music.
