2021-2022 Guidelines
The CAMD Student Grant program provides awards of up to $500 per undergraduate student and $1,000 per graduate student for expenses and travel related to research, scholarship, and creative activity. The goal of the program is to support students in completing research related projects separate from course assignments, and/or contributing to their discipline via presentation, publication, performance or other method of dissemination.
The program is open to currently enrolled (or, in some cases, recently graduated) Northeastern students with CAMD as their home college. Group projects representing two or more departments are encouraged and will be prioritized.
The grants are competitively awarded based on the quality and feasibility of the proposal in relation to the student’s field of endeavor and the research interests of CAMD and Northeastern. The grants are intended to offset expenses for undergraduate and graduate students that are directly related to completion and/or dissemination of individual research, scholarship, and creative activity;
Work must be produced while enrolled at Northeastern, but cannot be for course related expenses. Grants are not intended to pay for expenses stemming from course assignments or course related travel.

In these instances, the application must contain a short letter of endorsement from the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs.)
- Award must support work produced while enrolled at Northeastern.

- Dean’s Project Awards: By nomination and in special cases, higher support amounts may be approved and awarded by the Dean provided that the faculty support letter clearly outlines the project’s potential to serve as an “ambassador” project that enriches CAMD and Northeastern’s research, scholarship and creative activity profile and creates recruitment or development opportunities.
