Experience Design Studio (Fall 2017)
Experience design is a holistic approach that investigates the human experience in specific situations in order to improve its quality. This approach utilizes an understanding of human goals and needs. This course, led by Miso Kim, offers students an opportunity to develop competency with tools and models used to create experiences in the context of providing services. Students have the opportunity to study the meaning of the service experience, as well as the opportunity to practice applying its perspectives, models, and theories to the project process. Specifically, in 2017 we focused on the issue of service indignity and flight experience. Students were asked to participate in class discussions and create compelling experiences to address the needs of their selected user group.
