Dasan Ahanu Presents “Shots Fired! Examining Hip-Hops Lyrical Canon”

In celebration of hip-hop history month, join Professor and renowned Spoken Word artist Dasan Ahanu as he explores hip-hop’s deep and enduring artistry and the qualities that define the rap classics.

Artist, educator, and organizer Dasan Ahanu is the Nasir Jones Hip-Hop Fellow at Harvard University. A regular guest on national radio and TV, he is also active as a recording artist and regularly hosts poetry, jazz, and Hip Hop cultural events in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina where he is Assistant Professor of English at St. Augustine’s University. Dasan serves as President of the Black Jedi chapter of the Universal Zulu Nation.
