CAMD will bestow one Distinguished Service Faculty Award in 2019. The nomination process is now open for CAMD faculty. The deadline for nominations has been extended slightly to February 28, 2019 at 5 p.m.
The Distinguished Service Faculty Award will be granted to a faculty member whose contributions to his/her Department, College and University create notable benefits to the systems, situations and shared environments of the academic community. Recipients of this award will have consistently taken on a significant service load. In doing so, they will have contributed to initiatives and committees throughout the university; helped to build programs and manage resources in support of a community mission; and collaborated with colleagues in ways that set a standard for faculty participation.
Faculty who are nominated will be notified and asked to submit the following via single PDF document to Hilary Poriss, CAMD’s Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Faculty and Research, by March 19, 2019:
-
Statement of significant contributions to the Department, College, University, and/or Discipline
- The CV of nominee which should include a complete list of service activities
- Chair letter of evaluation
The CAMD Executive Committee will evaluate all applications and make its recommendation to the Dean of the College of Arts, Media & Design. The Dean chooses the awardee taking into consideration the recommendation of the committee.
The award winner will be notified around April 8, 2019, and will be honored at the CAMD Graduation Ceremony on May 2, 2019, at 3:30 p.m.
