Patrick Kana

Patrick is an award winning furniture designer, artist, and educator who creates work that is centered around material exploration within both natural and architectural form. He manages and supports the operations of all makerspaces within CAMD, which include woodworking, digital fabrication, and general model making facilities. Technical instruction, course integration, and the direction of student staff for these facilities are all coordinated by Patrick. Prior to Northeastern, Patrick served as the Studio Technician and Visiting Assistant Professor of Art and Architecture at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. In addition to academic work, Patrick maintains a cooperative woodworking studio, Kana Studios LLC, and continues to exhibit work across New York State and New England. He is represented by Atelier Newport, and has work in private collections across the U.S. and in Europe.
