Animals + Technology: Designing for Animal Agency, Wellbeing, and Care
Technology is increasingly becoming part of how we care for, understand, and interact with animals, from sensing and monitoring systems to interactive enrichment designed for animals themselves. This conversation will bring together researchers, designers, and animal-care professionals to discuss past, current, and future projects from the INTERACT Animal Lab in collaboration with local partners at Zoo New England, the Museum of Science, and the New England Aquarium. Through these projects, we will explore how technology can support animal agency, wellbeing, and care, as well as the practical, ethical, and design challenges that arise when designing with and for animals.
