Collective Living and the Architectural Imaginary transforms more than one hundred architectural drawings into an immersive spatial experience. Designed in parallel with the book of the same name, co-authored by Felipe Correa, Anthony Averbeck, and Devin Dobrowolski, the exhibition invites visitors to examine sixty housing projects from around the world, spanning the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, through a collection of 35mm slide viewing stations. The exhibition draws inspiration from the nineteenth-century Kaiserpanorama, translating its model of collective viewing into a distributed architectural installation. Organized around the book’s ten thematic chapters, the exhibition brings together architectural research, drawing, and interactive media to foster conversations about what global housing history can teach us about possibilities for the future.
