Talk Abstract
Solving societal challenges will require scientists to work with communities to co-create effective, ethical, and socially acceptable solutions. Founded in 2018 at Harvard University, SCi has worked to strengthen the connection between science and society by creating opportunities for scientists to learn, connect, and build community both in the classroom and out in the world. Now SCi operates an independent nonprofit, using our expertise to support universities and research institutes who want to develop programs that foster a more inclusive and responsible approach to scientific discovery. This talk will provide an overview of past projects and our new approach to supporting a growing civic science movement.
