Far from passive, our constructed world conditions the way we perceive and interact with and within our environment. The way things are designed influences how we act and behave with them, around them, and through them. Objects, systems and environments, be they physical, digital, social, or otherwise, mediate our understanding and experience of our being, thinking and acting in the world. This panel explores projects, viewpoints, and strategies offered by our panelists at the nexus of design, performance, and choreography — and the ways in which performance can be a lens through which we understand and interact with our structures and surroundings.
