Nicole Zizzi

Design Research & Communications

Nicole Zizzi is joining us after completing her M.Arch degree here at CAMD in 2021. She additionally holds a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Dance from the University of Rochester. Nicole has previously worked with the Center for Design on the 2019 Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture project and the ongoing Embodying Information research project. As the co-founder and director of a local concert dance company, Evolve Dynamicz, she is a creative movement practitioner and pulls from her experiences in the dance studio to inform her research practice and methods.  Nicole leads movement workshops and classes in the Boston area for both adults and primary school-aged children. Her dance pedagogy focuses on building confidence and agency in movers through tools such as strength training and improvisational techniques. Her most recent project with Evolve Dynamicz explores how dance can be used as an educational tool when learning abstract mathematical concepts at the collegiate level.  She enjoys working at the intersection of many different disciplines and is passionate about collaboration.
