AI Webinar Series

Blue image of different lights and networks.

This webinar series examines artificial intelligence as a cultural medium rather than merely a technical tool, exploring how AI shapes communication, creativity, governance, and everyday life across diverse contexts.

Through monthly conversations between scholars, artists, and designers from CAMD and beyond, the series addresses critical themes including AI’s role in media and democracy, its impact on creative industries and authorship, ethical dimensions in gaming and interactive design, the rise of AI influencers and their effects on identity and labor, mobile AI’s influence on marginalized communities, sustainability concerns, and how generative AI reshapes storytelling and human connection.

Each episode combines expert presentations with audience dialogue and may incorporate interactive elements like live playtests, polling, and participatory design activities, positioning the series as both a public platform for interdisciplinary exchange and a live research lab that documents emerging questions about AI’s profound influence on culture, infrastructure, and human experience.
