Layers of Taste
2026

Layers of Taste explores how minimalism became linked to modernity and wealth in South Asian design, and how taste is shaped by colonial influence rather than cultural instinct. Through native visual language and a pop-up Amul café, the project asks how local aesthetics can travel without being simplified or sanitized.
