The Climate Corridor is a walking and biking pathway that spans along the Connecticut River throughout the Pioneer Valley and is composed of a network of programs that both repurposes and reconnects existing conditions while also introducing new activities and strategies for improved community engagement.

An example of creating short yet highly beneficial trails branching from the Climate Corridor to connect users to nearby areas, such as park spaces and grocery stores.
A series of programs that not only define the history and existing conditions of the Pioneer Valley, but also illustrate how this connects to growing uncertainties and challenges that farmers and non-farmers alike are facing with climate change.
A set of structures in the center of the Climate Corridor that hold analytical and scientific programs such as laboratories, a nursery and dedicated spaces for storing and studying endangered plant species, as well as publicly available and financially self-sustainable programs such as a restaurant, library and a store to purchase and plant these endangered species.
An example location situated on the Land Along the Connecticut River with easily replicable programs and amenities for other locations throughout the Climate Corridor, such as small structures for food and sight-seeing, spots to camp, and outdoor rings for talks with local farmers and business owners.
The interior restoration of an abandoned paper mill factory that can house activities such as art exhibitions, cooking classes, and a restaurant to promote the diverse culture and local businesses of Holyoke.
A dedicated space to study and promote the existence of a large solar panel field and prescribe to visitors ways in which they can better utilize green energy.
A location at one of the Climate Corridor’s endpoints in the rural municipality of Hadley that can host events to promote farms and local businesses with food stalls, picnic areas, and a proposed bridge to better connect the Corridor with Hadley.
A space along privately-owned farms that coordinates with farmers to collect and repurpose unwanted crops and soil to form composing centers and hubs for recycling and regenerative farming.
