Dr. Alessandra Renzi recently shared her current book research with faculty and students in Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University. Renzi’s talk took place at The Craft of Scholarship forum organized by Media@McGill, where she was a visiting fellow this semester. Renzi’s talk, “Connecting media activism – From pirate TV to social networks,” outlined a new theory of activist media, where the role of media activism in not just one of informing the public but also one of forging social cohesion.
