Interdisciplinary

Congratulations to Paula Martin Rivero, CAMD PhD student in Interdisciplinary Design and Media! Her work Untitled Bingo: A Participatory Visualization of Institutional Absence was accepted for presentation at the IEEE VIS Arts Program (VISAP). Held annually as part of IEEE VIS, the premier forum for visualization and visual analytics, VISAP provides a unique platform where technical and artistic communities meet.

Her work will appear as part of the VISAP 2026 exhibition Amplification on view from November 11-13 at the MIT Met Warehouse. Her project focuses on the missing data in the Complaint Mechanism from Frontex, the European Union Agency managing external EU and Schengen borders. The installation materializes this process by transforming textual archives into a participatory visualization.
