The School of Architecture has a variety of student employment opportunities this fall.
Below is a list of positions and the requirements.

Office Assistant (work-study only)
Duties
- Work in the main office of the School of Architecture
- Greet visitors to the school, answer phone calls, and give studio tours, assist faculty and staff with various projects.
Requirements
- Open to all levels/School of Architecture students preferred but not required
- Reliability and punctuality a must
- Must be comfortable talking with students and faculty and willing to help visitors to the school
Faculty Assistant (work-study only)
Duties
Assist faculty member with course prep
- Help prepare documentation relative to the course, such as bibliographies, reading materials, and other similar documents.
- Help prepare visual contents, in the form of images and/or videos to be incorporated into Power Point or Prezi presentations.
- Assist and provide advice to students regarding their own presentations for the course/seminar.
- In the case a visit or visits are scheduled, assist in organizing its logistics and contents.
Requirements
- Must be student in School of Architecture
- Upper level student preferred
- Must demonstrate ability to work independently and follow through on projects
- Demonstrated experience working with digital media and research experience
Studio Monitor (work-study preferred)
Duties
- Monitor architecture studio and report issues to main office and submit work-orders when relevant
- Duties includes regular checks of studio printers, supplies, physical plant (first aid kits/lights/general supplies) and performing safety checks to ensure compliance with fire code
- Special projects may be assigned throughout the term
Requirements
- Must be student in School of Architecture
- Upper level student preferred
- Must demonstrate ability to work independently and follow through on projects
Laser Cutter Monitor (work-study preferred)
Duties
- Supervise and assist students in using the school’s laser cutters (file set and trouble shooting, materials set up)
- Monitor the machine at all times during use
- Perform maintenance and cleaning of laser cutter
- Track student appointments and report violations or access issues
- Ensure all safety regulations are being adhered to
Requirements
- Must be student in School of Architecture
- Ability to work independently
- Reliability and punctuality a must
- Able to train and monitor fellow students
- Demonstrated experience with PC computers and ability to troubleshoot software/CAD files
