Ben is currently a design director + partner at Blink UX and heads up Blink’s Boston studio. He leads a team of multidisciplinary designers, strategist, and researchers on design system and brand projects with ambitious partners including Amazon, eBay, Microsoft, and NASA. Ben is also a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University teaching design process.
With over a decade of design and creative leadership experience, Ben’s strengths encompass championing a human-centered design process with collaboration at the core, transforming concepts into product vision, and designing at the delta of interaction, visual, and motion design.
Prior to Blink, Ben was creative director at Tectonic leading a team of hybrid designers on envisioning projects for Bang & Olufsen, Conservation International, HBO, and Rhapsody. Prior to Tectonic, he worked on future concepts at Microsoft’s Envisioning Lab and as an exhibit designer at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.
Ben has an MFA in design from the University of Washington in Seattle where he studied and practiced graphic design, design theory, data visualization, and exhibit design while developing an interdisciplinary approach to problem solving. When given the chance, he’ll gladly talk about design workshops, grid systems, typography, and Murphy beds.
