Chloe Prock

Chloe Prock is a PhD candidate in Interdiscplinary Design and Media at Northeastern University in the College of Arts, Media, and Design (CAMD). She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a BFA in Graphic and Information Design and an MS in Information Design and Data Visualization. She received an award for creative and research projects upon completing her Master’s degree in 2024.

As a designer and researcher, she explores the intersections of metaphor and experience in creative data visualization work, taking a practice-based approach to inform her work. In particular, she is interested in climate-related, environmental, and scientific data visualization, working to create visual narratives that inspire critical conversation. She has exhibited her work internationally, including at Milan Design Week, Inspace in Edinburgh, Futuros – Arte e Tecnologia in Rio de Janeiro, and the MIT Media Lab in Boston.

She has TA and guest lecturing experience in both undergraduate and graduate level courses related to data visualization, information design, and creative coding.

She is also a member of the Khoury College of Computer Science Data Visualization Research Lab, where she has been working on an NSF-funded research project on Ethics in Data Visualization with a special focus on statistical visualization and science communication.
