McCourt will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in Spring 2024. In October 2020, she joined The Huntington News as a staff writer. By the time she finished at Huntington News in April 2022, she had risen to managing editor. That summer, she joined Boston.com as an editorial intern.

When she traveled abroad to London in May 2023, she documented her experiences on the Global Experience Office’s blog. When she returned to Boston, she joined The Boston Globe as the audience engagement co-op, drafting social media copy for stories and developing graphics for posts.
