Daniel Nwogwugwu holds a Postdoctoral Teaching Associate position in the Department of Communication Studies at Northeastern University, researching public relations, crisis and science communication. His work investigates how organizations navigate crises and use (digital) media to shape public perceptions of the crises. He also explores existing public trust in scientists and scientific information during crises and its impact on public perception and behavior. Before joining Northeastern University, Dr Nwogwugwu was a lecturer in the Communication Arts Program at Bowen University, Iwo, Nigeria. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Babcock University, Nigeria, and his Master’s and PhD in Applied Communication from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has published well-researched articles and chapters in reputable academic journals and books and is a member of several academic and professional bodies.
He teaches courses in Public Speaking, Business/Professional Speaking, Organizational Communication and crisis communication.
