Gordon Weigers grew up playing hockey on Long Island. It was his dream to continue being involved with the sport. Shortly after arriving at Northeastern, he began covering hockey for The Huntington News.
For his co-op, he joined the Northeastern Athletics team, working on a range of different types of content. “While many students will leave their coo-op when the six months there are done, I stayed in the athletics department for three years and kept developing skills that helped me get hired here in Vegas,” he told CAMD. Recently, as part of the social media team with the Las Vegas Golden Knights, he got to hold up the Stanley Cup as the team celebrated their championship win.
