Keith Kostick is a Lesson Instructor in Trombone and Trumpet at Northeastern. Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Keith came to Boston on scholarship to Berklee College of Music where he received a BM in performance.
Keith traveled extensively throughout the world for two decades with various bands, and has recorded with Polygram and CBS Records. Road experience includes: First Trumpet / Road Manager / Featured Soloist with The Artie Shaw Orchestra; First Trumpet / Featured Soloist with The Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Tommy Dorsey, and Xavier Cugat Orchestras.
He has also traveled and performed in the bands of: Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Tormé, Rosemary Clooney, Natalie Cole, Vic Damone, Diane Carol, Aretha Franklin, J. Geils Band, Spiro Gyra, and many others.
Keith currently lives in Boston where he maintains a busy schedule working in Boston’s studios and theaters as well as doing commercial recordings, writing for, and freelancing with the area’s bands. Keith currently performs with and manages The Stardust Band and his own jazz quartet, in addition to teaching both privately and at Northeastern University.
