Nina Webb joins Northeastern University after a 25-year career building artist brands, fan communities, and marketing campaigns at some of the highest levels of the music industry.
Webb served as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing at Atlantic Records and held leadership positions at Columbia Records and Sony Music Entertainment. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide range of artists campaigns from Death Cab for Cutie, Paramore, Oasis, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monáe, Sia, MGMT to Melanie Martinez; leading cross-functional teams and global campaigns during a period of significant transformation in the music business. Her work contributed to multiple Grammy Award-winning and nominated projects, and she was recognized by Billboard as one of its Top Women in Music.
Her areas of expertise include artist development, music marketing, artist relations, fan engagement, brand strategy, and community building.
Before joining Northeastern full-time this fall, Webb created and taught courses at Northeastern University, Berklee College of Music, and Emerson College while remaining active in the industry through her consulting practice, advising artists, brands, and entertainment companies on marketing strategy, audience development, and storytelling.
What brings Webb the greatest fulfillment is helping students discover their own place within the music industry. She is continually inspired by their creativity, curiosity, and ambition, viewing the classroom as a collaborative environment where learning happens in both directions. Through mentorship, experiential learning, and industry partnerships, she works to bridge the gap between education and industry, creating opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships, gain real-world experience, and develop the confidence to pursue their goals. She looks forward to collaborating with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners to strengthen connections across Northeastern, Boston’s creative community, and the broader music industry.
